Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or educational equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years current courier experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
- The candidates should have the ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including DG specialist certification) and must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration
- The candidates should remain current with training in BP and defensive driver/process updates
- The candidates should have a good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, and general operations
- The candidates should have some knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
- The candidates should possess solid communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and train employees on the job
- The candidates should have the ability to prioritize and delegate in a time-sensitive manner
- The candidates should have demonstrated excellent interpersonal, customer relations, and communication skills
- The candidates should possess good analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organization skills
- The candidates should be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist management in overseeing daily sort, delivery/pickup activities, and remote domicile location/feeder Ops (where applicable)
- The candidates should be able to lead the sector as assigned, ensuring best practices and effective operations
- The candidates should be able to model the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behavior, including strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership ability (through Best Practices methods)
