Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching and learning
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to select, modify, or create an educational technology-enhanced learning experience appropriate for instructional and learning outcomes
- The candidates should have the ability to structure content based on educational research, pedagogical design practices, and instructor input
- The candidates should be able to establish an appropriate learning environment using learner-centered educational technologies or other web applications
- The candidates should have the ability to develop, select, modify, or create immersive technology support materials
- The candidates should be able to apply accessibility principles in alignment with AODA and other frameworks such as UDL
- The candidates should exhibit leadership in assessing equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous perspectives in immersive learning
- The candidates should be able to plan, coordinate, and organize projects, demonstrating project management skills conduct a needs analysis to determine requirements
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent knowledge of active learning theories and high-impact practices
- The candidates should have expertise with immersive reality, video creation tools, and scanning tools
- The candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be committed to service excellence and an ethic of care
- The candidates should promote and initiate collaboration ITS, Library, PMC, instructors, HR, EHS, and SASC
- The candidates should have the ability to evaluate initiatives, including selecting instruments, methodology, and collecting and analyzing data, administer ticketing and help desk systems

The candidates should have experience supporting immersive events, including coordinating and using VR headsets in an educational context
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, advise, and consult with faculty members, contract instructors, staff, and teaching assistants on the use of educational technologies, including immersive media technology, for teaching and learning activities at Carleton
- The candidates should be able to support instructors and staff in engaging with educational technologies to create experiential learning opportunities at Carleton
- The candidates should be able to evaluate and critically assess new technologies, teaching practices, and research to ensure that TLS is providing the best teaching and learning tools, informed by educational research and best practices
- The candidates should be able to plan, develop, and facilitate one-on-one training and group workshops on the use of educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning
- The candidates should be able to design and deliver online tutorials (synchronous and asynchronous) related to the use of technology in teaching and learning
- The candidates should be able to manage multiple projects related to immersive media at Carleton, including new initiatives and ongoing projects
- The candidates should be able to assist the New Media Production Coordinator with scheduling and occasionally supervise volunteers and students
