Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 32 to 48 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Animal husbandry
Dog training expertise: Obedience
Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)
Credentials: Pet first aid course
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be capable of working in wet or damp conditions and able to work in noisy environments
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary for the role and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods as required and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs) as needed, including loads exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs) when necessary.

Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals, prepare food and feed animals, and clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures
- The candidates should be able to keep records of animals treated, assist with inoculation and treatment of animals, and assist animal breeders to handle and nurture animals
- The candidates should be able to clean animal ears, maintain and order supplies, and clip animal nails
- The candidates should be able to monitor and document animal behavior and perform dental cleaning on domestic animals
