Salary: $25.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Lethbridge, AB
Shifts: Day, Overtime, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations, Commercial, Industrial, Residential and Construction site
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Tools and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Plumber Trade Certification, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Plumber Red Seal Certificate and Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces and able to work in wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of the job, capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should have experience in handling heavy loads and be able to work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be known for their accuracy in tasks and demonstrate a strong client focus
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication abilities, and exhibit excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should display good judgment in decision-making and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
- The candidates should be able to install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, instruct apprentices, and locate/mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidates should be able to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, join pipes using various methods, and schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, determine piping system requirements, and size pipes accordingly
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
