Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed post-secondary level education in a relevant health sciences discipline from a recognized academic institution
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be available to work any day of the week and flexible to accommodate assigned shifts, which are based on operational
- The candidates should be prepared for varying lengths of shifts according to the events taking place at Canadian Blood Services fixed and mobile donor centers
- The candidates should be available for shifts that include days, evenings, and weekends
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have sound knowledge and previous experience in blood collection, regulatory, and continuous quality improvement environments
- The candidates should have experience in plateletpheresis and plasmapheresis programs
- The candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English
- The candidates should have demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
- The candidates should possess a leadership skillset to build teams, have a passion for achieving results, and a commitment to customer service excellence
- The candidates should have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to clinic locations

- The candidates should be able to utilize excellent customer service skills to ensure optimal clinic flow, a high level of service, and compliance with Canadian Blood Services policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety
- The candidates should be able to leverage superb leadership skills to ensure staff performs duties in an effective, efficient, and professional manner
- The candidates should be able to utilize superior interpersonal and communication skills to interview, hire, and manage all aspects of performance management, including progressive discipline
- The candidates should be able to draw on knowledge and experience to ensure each Centre is planned, organized, and managed to provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective blood collection
- The candidates should be able to work effectively to ensure the needs of donors, volunteers, and the public are met
- The candidates should be able to utilize proven success in leading a collaborative team by providing timely communication to staff, prompt follow-up for donor and staff concerns, and responding to on-site media inquiries
