Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed college or CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Medical exam, Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smoking and accustomed to performing repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and be reliable
  • The candidates should be flexible, a team player, and have interpersonal awareness
  • The candidates should uphold values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, lead activities including storytelling, singing, and visits to local points of interest, and engage children in creative activities
  • The candidates should support early childhood educators in programs promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, assist in record-keeping, and provide opportunities for expression through art, play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should guide children in developing proper habits, maintain daycare equipment, assist in housekeeping and cooking, prepare snacks, arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods, attend staff meetings, and plan and maintain a child-safe environment
