Salary: $19.67 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, vulnerable sector check
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual and dependable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- The candidates should have flexibility, interpersonal awareness, and good judgement
- The candidates should be reliable team players with strong values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers while ensuring their safety and comfort and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits according to their age and developmental stage
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest to encourage learning and engagement
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children’s activities, progress, and behavior and provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be knowledgeable about the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations to ensure compliance with child-care standards and establish guidelines for behavior and enforce them consistently to maintain a safe and respectful environment
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and communicate progress or concerns with parents, guardians, or supervisors and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to support the well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children at all times, prepare snacks, and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods for children
