Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Experience with special needs children: children with a mental health disability, children with an intellectual disability, children with behavioural issues, and children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD)
Credentials: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, medical exam, immunization records, tuberculosis test, and vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks and physically capable of handling demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and be able to adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities consistently
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, including excellent oral and written communication abilities
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility and interpersonal awareness for effective interaction with others, exercising good judgement in decision-making
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively while adhering to values and ethics in their conduct

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention, as well as develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to engage children through storytelling to stimulate their imagination and language skills, while also assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that effectively promote children’s development
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through various mediums such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, as well as engage them in activities like storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to enhance their learning and enjoyment
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits to foster independence and self-care skills, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a comfortable environment for children
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors for assessment and planning purposes, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues and address any concerns effectively
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings regularly to discuss the progress and problems of children and contribute to planning and problem-solving efforts
