Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have High school or equivalent diploma and Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS related field
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 1 year experience in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should lead and manage a team and analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and also conduct job hazard and job safety analyses
  • The candidates should be comfortable wearing and working with personal protective equipment, which may include items like hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other safety gear, depending on the nature of the work environment and tasks involved

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity and knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • The candidates should have experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace
  • The candidates should have 6 months of experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon and strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills
  • The candidates should have experience in emergency response and currently hold First Aid and CPR certificates and workers’ compensation case management

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate-based reporting systems
  • The candidates should be able to support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
  • The candidates should be able to conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions
  • The candidates should be able to recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics
