Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have hold a College Diploma DEC in Electrical Engineering Technology: Automation and Control
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have knowledge of production systems in a manufacturing environment
- The candidates should have the ability to learn new technologies easily, be skilled in problem solving and associated technical processes
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a License C (Non-construction electrician skills card) or a minimum of 2500 hours of cumulative experience
- The candidates should have knowledge of Rockwell Automation product suites such as Control Logix, Kinetix, Panel View, and Power Flex
- The candidates should have effective oral and written communication skills in French, Â knowledge of SAP maintenance management software
- The candidates should be familiar with ABB industrial robots, knowledge of Cognex industrial cameras
- The candidates should have knowledge of Siemens S7 programmable logic controllers, Â knowledge of TI (Texas Instruments) programmable logic controllers and knowledge of equipment in the food sector
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to intervene to restart a line after a disturbance, break, malfunction, or unplanned shutdown
- The candidates should be able to perform planned work from engineering or continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment efficiency and line performance
- The candidates should be able to check and inspect electrical equipment to prevent defects and ensure quality standards are met
- The candidates should be able to communicate any changes made or complications encountered to the relevant departmental teams
- The candidates should be able to assist electrical technicians in manually updating plans, programs, and drawings, and ensure IT updates are monitored with the systems group
- The candidates should be able to enter time and operation details accurately into maintenance software such as SAP and Meta
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily meetings to review electrical department activities from the last 24 hours
- The candidates should be able to ensure that an action plan is in place for unresolved issues before leaving at the end of their shift, perform all other related tasks
