Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a patient-facing and family-facing role
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work effectively as team members in a dynamic and fast-paced interprofessional environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience in presentation, group facilitation, and working with patients and families
- The candidates should have a strong understanding of the principles of self-care, self-determination, and issues facing patients and their families in the context of mental illness or addiction
- The candidates should demonstrate superior interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and strategically with patients, staff, internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- The candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills and be familiar with MS Office and experience working within a hospital environment
- The candidates should demonstrate commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives
- The candidates should have lived experience as recipients of mental health and/or addictions services or as family members of a child or youth who has been the recipient of mental health and addictions services
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to co-chair the PFAC Advisory for the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative Program
- The candidates should be able to provide ongoing support and act as a liaison between the working groups and the Project Team
- The candidates should be able to offer the Project Team guidance and best practices on engaging with communities, particularly equity-deserving communities
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with working group members and local operational teams to assess
- The candidates should be able to prepare and present reports, summaries, and analyses to stakeholders and senior leadership, documenting project outcomes and impact
- The candidates should be able to support the development of a Key Partners engagement and change management strategy through consultations with the Key Partners working group, community, and other hospital partners
- The candidates should be able to identify relevant communities that are impacted by challenges in accessing child and youth mental health services
- The candidates should be able to communicate regularly with community partners to provide updates on project progress, successes, and challenges
- The candidates should be able to identify opportunities for engagement with local tables, working groups, and forums to promote the work of the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative
