Salary: $21.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Richmond, BC
Work setting: Staff accommodation available and Staff accommodation provided

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
  • The candidates should be knowledgeable in other vegetables and melon farming, excluding potato cultivation

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, negotiate with clients for the provision of services, and coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
  • The candidates should be able to develop work schedules and establish procedures, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintain quality control and production records
  • The candidates should supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, maintain work records and logs, hire and train staff, and perform general farm duties
