Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Post-secondary education in an Accounting program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and MS Access
  • The candidates should have knowledge of SAP or an ERP environment and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The candidates should have the ability to work cross-functionally and demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to report on the Weekly Vitals and Period End P and L Report and play a key role in key tasks of the period-end close process
  • The candidates should be able to investigate variances, determine root causes, and recommend actions to minimize them
  • The candidates should be able to provide overhead management support to the assigned Budget Manager and Finance Manager
  • The candidates should be able to understand driving activities and provide analytics to assist management, putting controls in place to minimize variances and meeting with stakeholders to review monthly results
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the annual overhead budgeting process and collaborate with the Finance Manager on special projects
  • The candidates should be able to complete analysis and reporting on balance sheet accounts relating to Operations, ensuring controls are in place, and items are accounted for
  • The candidates should be able to provide coverage for Finance Team Members and design, test, implement, and maintain procedures
  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership in formulating reports (both recurring and ad-hoc) which highlight opportunities and our progress in minimizing costs
  • The candidates should be able to provide analytical support to the Saskatoon facility and and participate in Six Sigma projects
