Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a university Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 3-5 years experience working in an accounting or finance role
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be in progress or willing to complete the CPA program; an MBA designation is considered an asset
- The candidates should be experienced in building financial models, forecasting, budgeting, and providing insightful analysis
- The candidates should have experience working with Yardi and Adaptive Insights, considered an asset
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to review financial reports, monitor accounts, and assist in the preparation of hours/cost reports for Operations
- The candidates should be able to build and utilize financial analysis to drive improvement in financial results and support operational decision making
- The candidates should be able to participate in monthly site variance and labor meetings
- The candidates should be able to review monthly revenue entries to ensure alignment with contract, budget, and forecast
- The candidates should be able to assist in the review and update of protected reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of external reporting requirements
- The candidates should be able to liaise with Payroll and Labor Relations to update per diems for anticipated changes to collective agreements
- The candidates should be able to build key relationships and collaborate with operations, finance, business intelligence, as well as key external contract stakeholders and partners
- The candidates should be able to assist the Finance Manager, NB with the input, completion, and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting
- The candidates should be able to complete income statement analysis on a monthly basis including tracking of risks & opportunities for the Long-Term Care Division
