Salary: $27.00 to $32.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Langley, BC
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, Own vehicle and Own transportation
Work setting: Construction, Custom cabinet shop, Institutional, Millwork shop, Manufacturing or production

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Project management, Millwork, Doors and door frames, and Cabinets
Security and safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, and Driving record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smoking, maintaining a smoke-free status in adherence to workplace policies and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure, demonstrating composure and efficiency in demanding situations
  • The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks with speed and agility

  • The candidates should be a team player, collaborating positively with colleagues to achieve common goals, uphold values and ethics, maintaining integrity and ethical conduct in all professional activities, and prioritize punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and meetings

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise workers, projects, and oversee apprenticeship training
  • The candidates should be able to train or arrange for training, operate CADD and other computer software systems, and set up equipment
  • The candidates should be able to recommend personnel actions, establish methods to meet work schedules, and requisition materials and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to handle office management tasks, conduct architectural research, and provide construction site supervision
  • The candidates should be able to prepare sketches and models
