Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Confined spaces, Wet/damp, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated, Non-smoking
Work Setting: Rural area


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 7 months to 1 year
Type of Product: Bedding plants, Seasonal plants, Vegetables
Type of Crops: Greenhouse vegetables

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads and large workloads
  • The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail and work with hand-eye coordination
  • The candidate should be able to work for overtime hours
  • The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and be a team player


  • The candidate should be able to write daily basic progress reports also spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
  • The candidate should be able to mix and prepare soils also pot and re-pot plants
  • The candidate should be able to transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings also apply fertilizers
  • The candidate should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage also assist in grafting activities
  • The candidate should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens also clean work area
