Salary: $25.50 hourly for 40 hours per wee
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 1611 valmont way Richmond, BC V6V 1Y4
Shifts: Day, Shift, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: In shop and custom cabinet shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Cabinets
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess manual dexterity for tasks as required
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be able to stand for extended periods as needed
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should strive for accuracy in their work, be strong team players, and be organized in their tasks and responsibilities

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, as well as mix, pour, and spread materials
  • The candidates should be able to clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, estimate costs and materials, and apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment, operate woodworking machines, and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • The candidates should be able to repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, sand wooden surfaces, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, as well as prepare and apply laminated plastics
