Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided
Type of crops: Blueberries, Cauliflowers, Field berries, Melons, Strawberries, Sweet corn, and Zucchinis
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Tractor, Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks in fruit and vegetable combination farming and able to handle heavy loads associated with agricultural activities
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks in outdoor and cold/refrigerated environments, and comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling in agricultural settings
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during farming operations and be willing to work overtime as required in the farming industry
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to work and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops and perform weeding
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, as well as harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
