Okeya Kyujiro is a well-known Sushi restaurant located in Montreal Canada. The restaurant is known for its food items being imported directly from Japan, fresh fish is also acquired from all over the world. The restaurant has a team of experienced Chefs who meticulously select fish that suit the season, and use additional methods when necessary to maximize its umami (“delicious taste”).   • The candidate should be able to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
  • The candidate should be able to analyze operating costs and other data
  • The candidate should be able to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • The candidate should be able to requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • The candidate should be able to prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • The candidate should be able to prepare and cook meals or specialty foods


  • The candidate should be able to recruit and hire staff
  • The candidate should be able to plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • The candidate should be able to estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
  • The candidate should be able to supervise the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
  • The candidate should be able to arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • The candidate should be able to supervise around 5-10 people
