Okeya Kyujiro is a well-known Sushi restaurant located in Montreal Canada. The restaurant has a team of experienced Chefs who meticulously select fish that suit the season, and use additional methods when necessary to maximize its umami (“delicious taste”). - The candidate should be able to train staff in the preparation, cooking and handling of food
- The candidate should be able to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
- The candidate should be able to analyze operating costs and other data
- The candidate should be able to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- The candidate should be able to requisition food and kitchen supplies
- The candidate should be able to prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
- The candidate should be able to prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to recruit and hire staff
- The candidate should be able to plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- The candidate should be able to estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
- The candidate should be able to supervise the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
- The candidate should be able to arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- The candidate should be able to supervise around 5-10 people
