Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Post-secondary course work such as the field of human resources, education and training, social science, public administration, law, business and humanities
Experience: Candidates should have experience providing advice and influencing diverse client groups

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate skills in planning, organizational, time management, and change management, able to take initiative and be flexible
  • The candidates should attend meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in discussions with employees. This may involve moving between offices or meeting spaces within government facilities
  • The candidates should engage in tasks related to documentation, record-keeping, and filing. This could include handling paperwork, updating electronic records, and maintaining organized HR documentation, involving fine motor skills and attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to listen actively, give, receive feedback and understanding emotional and cultural intelligence
  • The candidates should have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, utilizing interpersonal and relationship skills to influence others
  • The candidates should have experience in thinking critically and strategically, with the ability to solve problems, conflicts and building collaborative relationships
  • The candidates should have understanding stakeholders and providing excellent customer service and commitment to individual growth
  • The candidates should have ability to apply technical skills, analytical skills, business acumen, navigating uncertain and complex situations
  • The candidates should have experience problem solving difficult issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders and experience applying standardized processes in the organization such as legislation, policies, procedures or frameworks

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to make a positive impact using your problem-solving skills by offering strategic advice, contributing to decision-making processes, and influencing policies and practices that affect the Yukon’s public sector
  • The candidates should be able to work with a diverse group of clients, including employees and departments across the Yukon government, promoting a culture of leadership, continuous learning, self-reflection, and professionalism
  • The candidates should be able to provide sound strategic human resource management practices for creative and forward-thinking advice
