Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course
Security and safety: Bondable, Child Abuse Registry check, criminal record check, drug test, medical exam, reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking, adhering to a smoke-free workplace policy
• The candidates should be able to lift and carry up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as part of the job requirements

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication skills, effectively conveying information with clarity and professionalism
• The candidates should demonstrate initiative, taking proactive steps to contribute to the success of the team and organization
• The candidates should be organized, showcasing the ability to structure and manage tasks efficiently
• The candidates should exhibit reliability, consistently meeting job expectations and deadlines

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children and prepare and serve nutritious meals
• The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants
• The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children and tend to the emotional well-being of children
