Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, training will be provided
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work with tight deadlines
- The candidate should be physically demanding and be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials also erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
- The candidate should be able to mix, pour and spread materials also assist heavy equipment operators
- The candidate should be able to assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction also assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- The candidate should be able to assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs also level earth to fine grade specifications
- The candidate should be able to pave and rake asphalt also assist in demolishing buildings
- The candidate should be able to clean and pile salvaged materials also clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
- The candidate should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites also tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
- The candidate should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites also read and interpret blueprints
