Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 16 Allston Street Mount Pearl, NL A1N 0A4
Shifts: Day, Weekend, 08:00 to 17:00
Work setting: Repair and service establishment and retail business
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Parts specialization: Electrical products, electronic, marine, small engines, and generators
Type of maintenance: Marine engines
Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software and internet
Security and safety: Criminal record check and driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction and exhibit dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should be well-organized and demonstrate reliability in their work
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, and uphold strong values and ethics in all aspects of their work
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to answer telephone calls and relay messages promptly, set up displays of retail parts and accessories accurately, and address customers’ complaints or concerns professionally and effectively
- The candidates should be able to advise on the use and appropriateness of goods or parts proficiently, handle cash transactions accurately, and identify, label, and catalogue items received appropriately
- The candidates should be able to issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use efficiently, maintain records on inventory control system diligently, and receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials efficiently
- The candidates should be able to sell spare and replacement parts effectively, ship, deliver, or pick up parts, products, or equipment promptly, and store items in the warehouse, tool room, or supply area appropriately
