Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of previous experience in payroll administration

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act, the Employment Standards Act, Collective Agreements, and HR Policies
  • The candidates should have knowledge of payroll administration procedures and processes
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the functional areas within the HR department, as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
  • The candidates should have knowledge of systems and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • The candidates should have a secondary school or college diploma, possess a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to process employee payroll accurately and efficiently, ensure data integrity by verifying and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • The candidates should be able to maintain payroll-related documentation and records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
