Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Experience: Candidates should have 1 year of retail or inpatient hospital pharmacy experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician
  • The candidates should have 1 year of experience in pediatrics and experience with Windows-based computer applications

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare and distribute pharmaceutical products according to established protocols
  • The candidates should be able to receive, triage, and process medication orders accurately
  • The candidates should be able to compound and repackage medications, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards
  • The candidates should be able to prepare both sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products
  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical preparations and distributions
  • The candidates should be able to follow all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to pharmacy operations
  • The candidates should be able to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated with best practices
