Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working with the public

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the physical ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed an accredited training program in phlebotomy, preferably in science or health-related fields of stud and particularly in a high customer-focused environment
  • The candidates should possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs, with previous knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • The candidates should have knowledge of and experience working with current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practice standards with the team based on their knowledge or experience in this area

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to promote a positive experience for donors throughout the collection process by leveraging excellent customer service skills
  • The candidates should be able to greet and assist plasma donors in an engaging and positive manner as they progress through the donation process using superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • The candidates should be able to perform venipuncture according to established standards, monitoring donors for safety and comfort while providing post-donation care and instruction
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the completeness of information in the IT system for products, complete the labeling process, and prepare products for freezing, centrifuging, and shipment to testing facilities with excellent attention to detail
