Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard education qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Candidates need credentials such as Driver’s License, Confined Space Entry Training, Steamfitter and Pipefitter Red Seal Certificate, Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Security and Safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Drug test, Criminal record check
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
- The candidate should be able to cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
- The candidate should be able to select type and size of pipe required
- The candidate should be able to weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
- The candidate should be able to test system for leaks using testing equipment
- The candidate should be able to remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
- The candidate should be able to install supports, valves, piping and control systems
- The candidate should be able to clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
