Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of master’s degree (preferred) in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 3 years experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be aware that flexible work options are available for this position
  • The candidates should understand that this position may be able to work from home up to 5 days a week, subject to an approved telework agreement

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field, and have 4 years of progressive, recent, and related experience
  • The candidates should hold a Diploma in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field, along with 5 years of progressive, recent, and related experience
  • The candidates should have an equivalent combination of education and 6 years of progressive, recent, and related experience
  • The candidates should have experience developing strategy, regulation, or policy in the health care sector or social policy sector
  • The candidates should have experience in developing and implementing projects or programs
  • The candidates should have experience providing policy and issues-management advice to senior executives and preparing briefing materials
  • The candidates should have experience in the health sector or social science field
  • The candidates should be aware that a Criminal Record Check (CRC)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to coordinate and lead the research, analysis, development, and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for a significant ministry program
  • The candidate should be able to work within the Primary Care Division to establish patient-centered health services policy for the delivery of provincial health care services
  • The candidate should be able to monitor quality assurance in the healthcare system and design service delivery models that meet the needs of patients
  • The candidate should be able to collaborate with service delivery partners on key actions and quality improvement initiatives
  • The candidate should be able to conduct thorough research and analysis to inform policy development and legislative initiatives
  • The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and present policy recommendations to senior leadership
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward in a complex organizational environment
  • The candidate should be able to stay informed about healthcare trends, best practices, and legislative requirements relevant to the program area
  • The candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across different divisions and departments to achieve common goals
