FRANKLY FRESH SALADS INCORPORATED based in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Production helper – food and beverage processing. FRANKLY FRESH SALADS INCORPORATED was established in 1994 in the heart of East Vancouver to provide freshly chopped fruit salads to local grocery, restaurant and hotel industry throughout southern British Columbia and Vancouver Island. Our mission is to provide the freshest value added products for all our customers, saving them time and expensive labour costs. We hire foreign workers to fill labour or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. This position of Production helper – food and beverage processing is approved by LMIA.

Salary: $17.00 hourly for 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours and Early Morning
Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant
Work site environment: Candidates should work in cold/refrigerated and wet/damp place
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available
Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have safety glasses/goggles
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Food Safety Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, pay attention to detail, handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client and also in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for food safety/handling skills
- The candidate should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed and unload processing machines, assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties and also clean machines and immediate work areas
- The candidate should be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials and also check products and packaging for basic quality defects
