Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Baccalaureate in a Health Field
Experience: Candidates should have two (2) years of management and supervisory experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have knowledge of program management, including budget development, preparation, and control to ensure financial responsibilities are carried out effectively and efficiently
- The candidates should possess three (3) years of’ recent experience in Laboratory Services
- The candidates should have knowledge and ability to use a variety of intervention and prevention methods, and determine which method is most appropriate at any given time.
- The candidates should have knowledge of total quality management or continuous quality improvement processes
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to play a lead role in implementing the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) strategic objectives for the consistent delivery of quality allied health services within the Fort Smith Region
- The candidates should be able to provide overall management of the Laboratory Services, Diagnostic Imaging Services, and Rehabilitation Services programs within the Fort Smith Region
- The candidates should be able to support program areas to ensure that client/patient needs are being supported and addressed within their regional catchment area
- The candidates should be able to identify and address program challenges and opportunities for improvement, establish program objectives for the region, and report on and contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of program delivery in the region
- The candidates should be able to contribute to the development of program areas across the territory through participation in cross-territory initiatives and projects
