Salary: $25.00 to $40.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 30 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Tofield, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Combine harvester, Farm truck, Fertilizer applicator, Loader, Seed drill, Sprayer or duster, Swather, Tillage equipment, Tractor
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in outdoors, noisy, dusty, hot and cold/refrigerated area
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
