Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Immunization records and tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments
- The candidates should be non-smokers
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks and capable of handling physically demanding work
- The candidates should have attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and demonstrate reliability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit flexibility
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent written communication and be team players
- The candidates should uphold values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects their health, security, and well-being
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings or attend staff meetings to discuss the same
