Salary: $18.50 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Early Morning, 08:00 to 17:00
Transportation information: Public transportation is available, and Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and Relocation costs covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smoking and scent-free
  • The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks and capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) when necessary

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and possess excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations and show initiative in taking on new challenges
  • The candidates should exhibit sound judgment in decision-making and be organized in their tasks and responsibilities
  • The candidates should maintain reliability in their work and commitments and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others
  • The candidates should display strong time management skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
  • The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision, as well as housekeeping duties
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children
  • The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments
  • The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • The candidates should be able to help children with homework
