Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and demonstrate manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail, alternate between sitting, standing, and walking as required, and stand for extended periods

- The candidates should be able to perform tasks accurately, demonstrate client focus, and show dependability
- The candidates should be able to exhibit efficient interpersonal skills, show flexibility in their work, and take initiative

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, and conduct specimen collection
- The candidates should be able to ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake, and observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects in patient files
- The candidates should be able to take vital signs, clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments, and monitor established respiratory and intravenous therapy
- The candidates should be able to provide safety and health education to individuals and their families and deliver nursing services within the defined scope of practice based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, consult with appropriate healthcare team members, and supervise support staff
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
