Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of eligible for registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA)
Experience: Candidates should have at least two years of previous supervisory or mentorship experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have actively worked in an acute care setting within the past 5 years, with experience in arterial line insertion and endotracheal intubation
  • The candidates should possess current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • The candidates should have previous experience and training in adult education, be prepared to gain Connect Care experience once hired and  consider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to mentor and promote standards of clinical practice, responding to clinical questions and ensuring ongoing skill development within the team
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with managers and supervisors to facilitate access to internal and external continuing education and professional development programs, including certifications and skill upgrades
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and support the development of clinical staff through structured learning opportunities and professional growth
