Gone Fishin is a beloved destination for fishing enthusiasts seeking adventure and relaxation. Offering guided fishing tours and equipment rentals, Gone Fishin’ provides everything needed for an unforgettable angling experience on the pristine waters of Vancouver Island. With knowledgeable guides and access to prime fishing spots, guests can reel in a variety of freshwater and saltwater species, from salmon to trout to bass. Work setting: Retail business, Sporting goods store, and Fishing industry
Type of product: Marine pleasure craft and supplies, and Sports equipment and clothing
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Hunting (firearms)
Equipment and machinery experience: Firearms
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required, as well as stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) while performing tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be hardworking, outgoing, and possess a positive attitude
- The candidates should be dependable and reliable, with efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and work well as part of a team.
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register and computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems
- The candidates should be able to provide advice about merchandise and assist in its display
- The candidates should greet customers, discuss merchandise or services, and maintain sales records for inventory control
- The candidates should be able to prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, and operate fishing gear
