Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Candidates should have typically between 5 – 7 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to facilitate growth initiatives for the Bank through significant business development and excellent management of key client relationships
  • The candidates should be able to maintain an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory, and compliance policies
  • The candidates should be able to develop new business by contacting prospects and clients and cross-selling Bank products and services, including credit, trust/investment, and cash management
  • The candidates should be able to participate in and provide leadership in Bank and community activities to increase the Bank’s brand visibility and enhance new business opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to apply deep expertise in bank products, processes, and systems and effectively troubleshoot to ensure a high-quality client experience
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate closing with the closing department, clients, and attorneys, and serve as a daily escalation resource to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded
  • The candidates should be able to advise clients on loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements, as well as advise business clients on cash management/deposits solutions and business management and other financial matters where possible
  • The candidates should be able to develop and manage Commercial banking relationships, plan for prospective clients, and may include focused calling and pipeline management activities
  • The candidates should be able to provide oversight, monitoring, and reporting specific to the assigned business group for regulatory remediation
  • The candidates should be able to analyze financial and related data to determine the needs of the client for proper structuring of the Bank’s products and services and monitor and track performance, addressing any issues
  • The candidates should be able to ensure proper documentation for loans and cash management services, review loan applications and cash management service agreements for completeness and accuracy, and submit applications to appropriate departments for timely processing
  • The candidates should be able to evaluate and structure loan requests, determining appropriate documentation for approved loans, and negotiate terms under which credit/cash management services will be extended, including costs, repayment method, and collateral requirements
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the extension of credit/delivery of cash management services is in accordance with corporate policies, pricing guidelines, and portfolio considerations and follow up after closing to ensure all documents are completed and filed
  • The candidates should be able to act as the daily sales contact for clients on sales-related questions such as product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, and requirements, and gather data to advance the sales process and complete all required documentation
  • The candidates should be able to assist the team in pre-sales activities such as pitch preparation, client research, and preparation of prospect and client files for further action, as well as track implementation requests to keep the process on track with timelines
  • The candidates should be able to track internal reports and recommend improvements to sales support materials based on findings and feedback and compile pre-call and post-call information packages by accessing internal systems and bank personnel to validate client holdings, pricing, and volumes
  • The candidates should be able to provide research and data gathering to the sales team to facilitate a solution to the client’s/prospect’s business needs and assist with sales and service administration and processing, ensuring the client experience is seamless and opportunities are identified and met
  • The candidates should be able to maintain current client information on the Bank system/files to ensure client history is accurate and complete and ensure accurate billing to clients
  • The candidates should be able to focus primarily on the business/group within BMO and may have a broader, enterprise-wide focus and provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support, exercising judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules, working independently, and regularly handling non-routine situations
