Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Master’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge or FTE) experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree
  • The candidates should possess 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
  • The candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
  • The candidates should exhibit strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • The candidates should have Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
  • The candidates should have experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
  • The candidates should have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • The candidates should be a Certified Safety Professional

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy
  • The candidates should be able to provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS Policies
  • The candidates should be able to measure the site’s performance against published requirements in WHS policies and identify plans for implementing and fixing all deficiencies, driving accountability for the plan
  • The candidates should be able to analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to allocate appropriate resources to areas with the highest WHS risk
  • The candidates should be able to perform frequent site WHS audits to identify non-compliant equipment and processes, implementing solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury at other sites
  • The candidates should be able to audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance with global WHS standards and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to audit workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure accuracy and consistency in training, auditing, and scoring methods
  • The candidates should be able to ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy, auditing the quality, delivery, and effectiveness of all required WHS training
  • The candidates should be able to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
