Position: Snow Shoveller – Grounds Maintenance

Salary: $15.00 to $25.00 per hour for 10 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time leading to full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: To be determined
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
Work Setting: Landscape contractor, Various locations, Landscape maintenance
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment, Weed trimmer/edger
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads
- The candidate should be able to work with manual dexterity and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be someone who can be dependent on and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be able to work in an organized way and be someone who can be relied on
- The candidate should be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assist with landscape constructions also weed, prune and trim trees and plants
- The candidate should be able to cut grass also rake and collect refuse
- The candidate should be able to remove litter and garbage also lay sod or seed
- The candidate should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens also operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
