Association IRIS is a Montreal-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges and psychosocial crises. They offer a range of services, including a 24/7 crisis intervention center providing immediate assistance through evaluations, telephone interventions, and short-term accommodations. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $28.52 to $51.32 hourly (To be negotiated) for 17 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time
Location: Montréal, QC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call
Work setting: Urban area, Community service organization, Mental health institution, facility or clinic, and Associations and non-profit organizations
Supervision: Working groups
Target audience: Adults, Elderly, Females, Males, Minority group, People with personal or social adjustment difficulty, Psychiatric, Social assistance recipient, Abused adults, and People who require psychiatric care

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Social work specialization: Personal adjustment and Social policy development
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should Work under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus, be dependable, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal awareness
  • The candidates should exercise sound judgment, be organized, and reliable

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct psychosocial assessments
  • The candidates should be able to interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems to determine the types of services required
  • The candidates should be able to monitor and evaluate
