Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess experience as a GIS Developer or in a similar job function
- The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Python and TypeScript
- The candidates should be familiar with building native AWS solutions, asynchronous messaging, and network protocols
- The candidates should excel in technical communication with both peers and non-technical partners
- The candidates should exhibit a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including knowledge of design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems
- The candidates should have experience programming with at least one software programming language
- The candidates should possess experience with both back-end and front-end development, demonstrating full-stack engineering skills
- The candidates should have experience in running customer-facing, cloud-based, production software systems
- The candidates should have development experience in defining, developing, and maintaining REST-based interfaces
- The candidates should have knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to understand, analyze, and develop software solutions based on requirements related to telecommunications and network market segments, customer base, and industry verticals. Solutions to include custom GIS desktop and web applications, geoprocessing services, APIs, etc.
- The candidates should be able to configure, maintain, and support production databases using industry-standard RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and Amazon AWS offerings (RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift)
- The candidates should be able to perform complex design, coding, and testing of spatial applications using Python & JavaScript
- The candidates should be able to think out of the box to address complex business and technical problems
- The candidates should be able to develop user interfaces with modern JavaScript libraries, such as React
