Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years of retail management experience, which is required

  • The candidates should be results-driven with the ability to build and manage daily and weekly game plans for the department and store

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure execution of the Customer Experience and provide resolution for all customer concerns
  • The candidates should be able to meet established service level agreements for in-store services and order fulfillment
  • The candidates should be able to provide exceptional omni-channel experience by offering in-store eCommerce sales and fulfilling eCommerce orders within defined service levels
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate and follow up on the execution of visual compliance standards, store maintenance, and pricing standards
  • The candidates should be able to lead the implementation and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • The candidates should be able to deliver annual corporate shrink targets through team education, enforcement of LP and audit standards, and rigid inventory control
  • The candidates should be able to follow and ensure compliance with all corporate LP, Cash and Audit, and OH&S policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure processes and systems are followed for the execution of tech shop service programs, including maintenance and compliance standards
  • The candidates should be able to create efficient store weekly scheduling for both sales and support functions
  • The candidates should be able to provide continuous feedback and coaching to Management & team members based on key metrics and observed behaviors through Huddles, one on ones, and performance management coaching programs
  • The candidates should be able to create development plans and conduct annual appraisals for management team and direct reports
  • The candidates should be able to develop and lead recruiting and hiring strategy for the store, maintaining a complete team
  • The candidates should be able to act as a brand ambassador, promoting our stores, brands, and people internally and externally
  • The candidates should be able to continually motivate team and performance through recognition programs, store contests, customer compliments, etc.
  • The candidates should be able to maintain SportChek performance management expectations (feedback/coaching), including progressive discipline where necessary
  • The candidates should be able to promote and maintain a positive and motivating work environment (safe, inclusive, and empowering)
