Salary: $15.00 per hour for 30 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Alliston, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Work Site Environment: Wet/damp, Noisy, Odours, Cold/refrigerated
Work Setting: Rural area, Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, also training will be provided to the candidates
Type of crops: Potatoes
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
Farm truck, Lift truck, Planting equipment, Tillage equipment, Tractor, Vegetable harvester
Automated Systems Experience: Automated irrigation system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and with tight deadlines
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination and have the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to work for overtime hours
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills be able to work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should have judgement skills
- The candidate should be able to work in an organized way and be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as stone and/or wood picking
