Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Geography or a related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have least 2 years of experience in research, data analysis, consultation, project management and report writing

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be self-directed with the ability to work independently and effectively lead multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have equivalent combinations of experience and education
  • The candidates should have experience interpreting and applying relevant legislation, such as the Municipal Government Act and Local Authorities Election Act
  • The candidates should have a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence or provincial equivalent and the use of a personal vehicle for work
  • The candidates should have experience working in local government
  • The candidates should possess strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels in a large and complex organization, along with the ability to think strategically and well-developed analytical skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to play a key part in supporting readiness and delivery of the 2025 General Election, including change management and planning high-quality, innovative service delivery strategies
  • The candidates should be able to undertake complex research, analysis, and reporting of data and information and able to develop and implement measures to align services with legislation, corporate standards, and sector best practices
  • The candidates should be able to lead projects and project teams using best practice project management methodologies and able to identify service and process gaps and lead process reviews, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to provide supervision and/or direction to partners, employees, and contract service providers and able to develop effective working relationships and collaboration with a variety of partners, both internal and external
  • The candidates should be able to support the successful business integration of new technologies and support change management strategies, including communications plans, training, and documentation
  • The candidates should be able to deliver training and on-boarding programs to partners, limited-term staff, and contracted service providers
  • The candidates should be able to develop and execute logistics strategies for elections, petitions, and ward boundary work
