Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

  • The candidates should have experience in making decisions and/or recommendations based on government policy, procedures, regulations, or legislation

  • The candidates should possess values and ethics that align with the organization’s principles
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative in their approach to tasks and problem-solving
  • The candidates should have strong written communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas
  • The candidates should have experience with the operational delivery of Citizenship, Immigration, Passport, or Settlement or Resettlement Assistance programs in IRCC
  • The candidates should have experience in making decisions or recommendations in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • The candidates should have experience in making decisions or recommendations in accordance with the Citizenship Act
  • The candidates should have experience in making decisions or recommendations in accordance with the Canadian Passport Order
  • The candidates should have experience making decisions or recommendations in accordance with Grants and Contributions program requirements
  • The candidates should have experience working with the Grants and Contributions System (GCS)
  • The candidates should have experience working with the Global Case Management System (GCMS)
  • The candidates should have experience in extracting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and data from the Global Case Management System (GCMS) and/or the Grants and Contributions System (GCS) to support performance measurement and business analysis
  • The candidates should have significant experience making recommendations or decisions on complex cases, files, or agreements in accordance with federal legislation or programs
  • The candidates should have experience developing a variety of written documents for management, officers, senior analysts, or for other departments. (Written documents that contain analysis and/or evaluation of facts, including recommendations. Examples include briefing notes, Question Period notes, memoranda, case chronologies, functional guidance, regional directives, or program guidance pieces, etc.)
  • The candidates should have experience conducting research and analysis related to program policies, program operations, or program service delivery
  • The candidates should have experience in participating in departmental-level working groups as the team representative
  • The candidates should have experience in establishing partnerships and collaborating with internal or external stakeholders (examples include: divisions within your department, community organizations, clients, other departments, or private business)
  • The candidates should have significant experience supervising employees. (Examples of relevant responsibilities: assigning work, evaluating performance and employee relations management; approval of leave; career development, etc.)
  • The candidates should have experience in providing advice and guidance on procedures, policies, regulations, or legislation to others in a work-related setting
  • The candidates should have experience working in a call center environment and/or working in an operational environment dealing with the public (or external clients)
  • The candidates should have experience working at Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada
  • The candidates should be proficient in effective interactive communication (oral)
  • The candidates should demonstrate cooperation and collaboration skills
  • The candidates should possess adaptability and flexibility in their approach to tasks and situations
  • The candidates should have strong judgment and analytical thinking abilities
  • The candidates should have action management skills
  • The candidates should exhibit team leadership capabilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate decisiveness in making decisions
