Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of high school
Experience: Candidates should have 7 years of experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to process a large volume of work under tight deadlines and be able to work safely under minimal supervision
  • The candidates should have the ability to operate a forklift; an existing forklift certification
  • The candidates should be willing to travel across the province, as this is a requirement of the position; therefore, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completion plus post-secondary training related to the position and 5 years of related experience in a warehouse setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • The candidates should possess a professional designation or certificate in the supply chain field, such as SCMP, SMT, P.Log, CCLP, or PSPP
  • The candidates should have knowledge of modular systems furniture specifications, along with related work experience
  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and experience in managing inventory systems
  • The candidates should possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience with AutoCAD

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain an accurate inventory listing of surplus modular system furniture and components
  • The candidates should be able to prepare orders from pick lists, product listings, and drawings, collecting and staging multiple orders, as well as receiving and shipping orders
  • The candidates should be able to schedule appointments for shipping and receiving government assets throughout the province, assisting with loading and off-loading surplus items while verifying quantity and condition
  • The candidates should be able to provide expert technical knowledge, skills, and training in maintaining an inventory control program for all capital assets, including office furniture, system furniture, vehicles, and equipment in government departments, boards, commissions, and agencies throughout the province
  • The candidates should be able to record item movements in an inventory control program, showing descriptions, model, and serial numbers as applicable, maintaining the system by posting all receipts and issues, and filing copies of all movements to provide an audit trail for surplus furniture and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to schedule arrangements for surplus vehicles, scrap waste, and surplus removal
  • The candidates should be able to optimize and track revenue generated through a variety of surplus disposal methods
  • The candidates should be able to travel throughout the province to visit departments, warehouses, construction sites, and instructional workshops regarding surplus disposal and relocations
