Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Telecommunications equipment
Computer and technology knowledge: Telecommunication system
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, and Hard hat
Security and safety: Criminal record check, and Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment as needed, and they should be able to inspect and test the operation of telecommunications equipment to ensure proper functionality
- The candidates should be able to install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware according to specifications, and they should be able to repair or replace defective telephone equipment to restore functionality and reliability
- The candidates should be able to test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults and ensure quality performance, and they should be able to analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software to optimize performance
- The candidates should be able to complete and maintain test and service reports accurately and comprehensively, and they should be able to determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble to expedite resolution
- The candidates should be able to initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel to address identified issues, and they should be able to inspect and test trunking systems to ensure proper operation and connectivity
- The candidates should be able to install electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers, and they should be able to operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment, ensuring reliability and quality of service
