Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a minimum two year diploma or equivalent in Office Administration
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a Test Services facility within a post-secondary environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have comprehensive experience working with persons who have disabilities in an educational setting
  • The candidates should have work experience in a complex, detail-oriented, customer service-driven, computerized office setting
  • The candidates should have experience using Microsoft Office and certification in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and office experience with a client database such as Clockwork

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to invigilate tests and exams for students and applicants at the Algonquin College Test Centre and the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) Test Services
  • The candidates should be able to administer various exams and assessment tools, including college and university course exams, Accuplacer placement tests, and MCTU Exemption Tests
  • The candidates should be able to oversee tests for external educational institutions or organizations that Algonquin College has agreed to administer and ensure compliance with Algonquin College policies and the policies and procedures of Testing Services
  • The candidates should be able to follow the specific test administration requirements outlined by the test provider or vendor, such as Accuplacer and provide appropriate disability-related accommodations for examinees requiring adapted testing conditions
  • The candidates should be able to set up and troubleshoot individual tests and exams daily to ensure smooth administration and monitor examinees throughout the testing process to maintain academic integrity
  • The candidates should be able to enforce exam security measures and prevent academic misconduct and assist examinees with test-related inquiries while maintaining a professional and supportive environment
  • The candidates should be able to document and report any incidents or irregularities during testing sessions and maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling test materials and student information
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with faculty, staff, and external test providers to ensure accurate test administration and adapt to various testing formats, including online and paper-based assessments
