Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Credentials: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and be comfortable performing repetitive tasks
The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and good judgment
The candidates should be organized and reliable

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to load and unload goods and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform emergency roadside repairs
The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, as well as tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
