Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a (Grade 12) diploma or equivalent
- The candidates should have an Ontario Motor Vehicle Mechanics Licence, class 310T
- The candidates should have 2 years of experience in a Vehicle Maintenance environment, specifically with Heavy Duty Vehicles
- The candidates should have a good working knowledge of automotive and heavy truck parts
- The candidates should have the ability to understand and document procedures (SOPs) in the English language
- The candidates should have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations WHMIS and other applicable legislation Highway Traffic Act
- The candidates should have the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide daily supervision of vehicle maintenance staff and equipment
- The candidates should be able to motivate staff, mediate conflicts, and investigate root causes to resolve issues and coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient operation and hold staff accountable to meet standards and comply with regulations
- The candidates should be able to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of a wide range of performance indicators and manage accident damage, warranty, manufacturer recalls, Transport Canada recalls, and WSIB forms
- The candidates should be able to ensure completion and submission of Ministry of Transportation Inspections, Drive Clean program, and follow-up on Joint Health and Safety inspections and issues
- The candidates should be able to provide leadership by creating programs, schedules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for staff and ensure SOPs and equipment are up-to-date to maximize productivity without compromising standards and safety
- The candidates should be able to engage the services of outside suppliers to purchase just-in-time repair parts and perform services and oversee the inventory of spare parts through a stockroom with a perpetual inventory and procurement system
- The candidates should be able to recommend changes in on-site procedures to respond to regulatory changes and meet customer service expectations and share information with the Supervisor and others regularly
- The candidates should be able to identify training and development needs of the team and inform the Supervisor with budget preparation, setting financial controls and answer staff questions, provide on-the-job training, and give clear instructions
- The candidates should be able to represent the function at meetings and on committees and provide information for RFQs and RFPs and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders
